How to Play

Galaxy Maths Quest is a safe space-themed adventure for ages 5 and over.

  1. 1

    Choose your game type

Pick Times Tables, Number Bonding, Fractions, or Data Challenges.

  2. 2

    Choose your level

Beginner shows pictures or friendlier numbers. Intermediate steps things up. Advanced is for space experts.

  3. 3

    Pick a mission

Each task is a planet with a job to do.

  4. 4

    Answer the questions

Tap the answer or type the number. It's okay to take your time.

  5. 5

    See your score and badges

Earn cosmic points and unlock badges as you play.

  6. 6

    Add more children

Families and teachers can add more children in the Parent Area. Each child has their own scoreboard, and a combined scoreboard shows everyone together. Switch the active child to let them play.

  7. 7

    Play with friends

Your grown-up can invite other grown-ups so children can join your team. There is no chatting — just safe, fun maths.

Number Bonding

A number bond is a pair of numbers that add up to a target. If the target is 75 and you're given 28, the missing number is 47. Practising bonds builds strong mental maths.

  • Three levels: Beginner (10–100), Intermediate (10–500), Advanced (10–1000).
  • Themed tasks: repair the Star Core, activate Nebula Bridges, calibrate Asteroid Shields, align Galaxy Beacons, and restore Droid Memory.
  • Badges: earn Bond Builder, Galaxy Mathematician, Nebula Strategist, Quantum Solver and the ultimate Master of Bonds.
  • For parents: every score appears on the scoreboard and you can filter by game type.
  • Accessibility: predictable layout, large input fields, low cognitive load, full keyboard support.

Fractions

Fractions are introduced visually and gradually. Beginner missions use simple shapes and only show the visual in the main prompt, not in the answer options. Pie charts never use more slices than a child can comfortably count. For larger fractions, the game automatically switches to bar charts or fraction strips. Equivalence missions always include exactly one correct match.

Data Challenges

Solve fun challenges using charts, pictograms, and tables. Each mission shows a simple visual and asks a question about it. Choose the correct answer from four options. Levels progress from easy to more complex, with an optional timer in Advanced mode.

Theme and language

Use the sun/moon button in the top bar to switch between Dark Mode (default) and Light Mode. Light Mode meets WCAG AA contrast for comfortable reading. The language selector switches between English and Português (Brasil). Both choices are saved on this device — no account or internet sync needed.
